It Starts With A Small Step

Here.We. Go.

A married couple who has been doing wildlife rehabilitation for over a decade found themselves quite unexpectedly removed from a wildlife center they devoted 13 years of blood, sweat and tears to.

Now what? The easy path would be to find a couple part time jobs and ease into retirement.

If you know anyone who has been in wildlife rehabilitation for any length of time, you would know the easy path is not the path you find them living along.

So to serve the hundreds of wild animals now without a place to go, and the people that care about them, we’re starting our own nonprofit wildlife rehab center- Wild Instincts, Inc.

The incorporation process is happening as we speak. The nonprofit part is also being worked on.

We’re doing many things simultaneously (like true rehabbers!) because while the human/political things play out on the human side, the life cycle of the animals remains unchanged. Baby wildlife will be arriving before we know it.

We’re getting ready and we hope you follow us along the path as we continue our journey of wildlife rehab down this new and exciting trail!

  1. I cannot thank Mark enough for coming out to my home to help with a racoon today. Even though things didn’t come out the way I had hoped, mark made me feel at ease knowing he would do whatever he could to help the animal. Knowing that there is someone here in the northwoods to help the animals is very reassuring. Thanks again Mark!!
